How long does a full bathroom remodel take?

Our average remodel takes 3-5 weeks depending on complexity. Largest factor is the amount of tile work involved or if fixtures and/or layouts need to be moved.

When are you available for quotes?

All my estimates take place during the weekends, Saturday and Sundays unless it is a holiday. I always try to structure the quotes to be either 10am, 12pm, or 2pm for consistency and to leave enough time between quotes.

How long does a full kitchen remodel take?

Our average remodel takes 4-6 weeks depending on complexity. Largest factor is going to be countertop lead times and if any changes are being made to the kitchen.

When can I use my shower?

Typically, most showers can be used after 24 hours of cure time for the caulking. Best results when waiting 48 days.

Do you charge for estimates?

We do not charge for estimates under normal circumstances. However, there are circumstances I will, for example, to do a quote further away than we normally travel.

Who does the work?

My wife Lynn and I do all the work from start to finish. There are very few reasons why we would sub out, but some of those reasons include, custom glass for showers, and solid surface countertops.

Will my contractor make a mess?

Yes, there will be a mess. However, we will contain that mess to the designated spaces we are working in and we clean up as we go as well as at the end of every day. Our goal is to make it look like it never happened. For more info, see our Remodeling Dust Control Methods page.

How far do you travel?

We try to limit our travels to a 20 minute radius. We are based out of Kettering, which means our service area is most of the South Dayton area and suburbs. We service parts of Dayton, Beavercreek, Kettering, Centerville, Oakwood, Miamisburg, and Springboro.

How much does a full kitchen remodel cost?

How much does basement finishing & remodeling  cost?

Basement finishing and remodeling projects vary the most dramatically depending on a number of factors. The most influential factor here is the amount of space being finished and whether it is one open space or several rooms. Open spaces are cheaper and can start as little as $10,000  and more complex sopaces that may include bathrooms can easily be as high as $40,000.

How long does it take to finish my basement?

Basement renovation project timeframe will be dependent on several factors such as size and complexity of the project. Smaller open rooms could take as little as 2 weeks, while larger, more complex remodeling that may include kitchenettes and/or bathrooms could take as long as 8-10 weeks.

How long will it take to get my quote?

Most quotes are received within 7 days after doing the in home estimate. In some cases it can be within 1-2 days. If you have not received an estimate after 7 days, please feel free to ask about it. In some cases, there have been email mistakes or ends up in your spam folder. It doesn't hurt to ask!

Do you dispose of all the trash?

Yes! We remove all demolition debris, packaging materials, cabinets, and more. We will not be leaving any trash behind or filling up your trash cans with debris. We bring our own trash cans and we have a dumpster at our shop that is emptied weekly. Don't allow contractors to leave behind trash for you to deal with!

Where do you source materials from?

We source most of our materials locally at Home Depot, Lowes, or Menards. We are not sponsors for any company and are open to sourcing materials that suite the needs of your interior home remodeling project. Each vendor has unique strengths and all have different variations of similar quality products within the same budget category.

What is the next step after accepting your estimate?

The next step after accepting the estimate is to secure a start date with a down payment. We require materials down which will vary depending on the total cost of the job and who's supplying what materials. For example, if I'm supplying all materials for a full bathroom remodel, then that down payment will be around $5,000 and for a kitchen it might be $15,000 because kitchen cabinets and countertops consume more of the total cost of the job.

When can you start the job?

The start date of any project will depend greatly on several factors. Sometimes we are available immediately and other times we have been known to be booked out for 6 months. If the timeframe of your remodeling project is important, please ask what our schedule looks like.

Will you be on my project from start to finish?

Yes! We do not job hop. We will be on your project from beginning to end. We will be there Monday thru Friday until the job is either finished or we get to a point where we have to wait for a countertop to be installed or something similar. In that case, we would start another job and be back to finish yours at the earliest convenience.

What should we do before you begin the renovation process?

You are going to want to clean out the area being remodeled, removing all items from drawers, counters, and cabinets. Remove all hanging pictures, shelves, and decorations from all walls leading to and from the space we are remodeling and from any adjacent walls to the area being renovated.

What is the payment structure?

The first payment is a down payment that covers material costs. Jobs that are 2 weeks long, we will wait until we are finished to ask for final payment. Larger jobs will be broken down into 2 week sums with the balance due upon completion of the remodeling project.
